By the age of fifteen I had saved enough money to buy my first, decent camera, a Canon AE1. This is the first concert I ever shot with that new camera. I was still learning my way as a young photographer but I somehow managed to capture RUSH, fresh off their hugely successful album "2112", giving their fans the type of show that can never be forgotten. Besides "Something for Nothing" and other "2112" classics, we heard "The Trees" and "La Villa Strangiato" from their most current album, "Hemispheres". Their staging was simple, with minimal lighting and a carpet laid out. But the music was always superb. Seeing some of these songs live for the first time ever is hard to convey in words. I hope my photos come close to bringing that feeling to RUSH fans. They were and still are an amazing band!
